Well, well, well, if it isn't the classic Father and Son by Cat Stevens. What a song, what a story! At first, you got this old man who's all "calm down, young one. You have your whole life ahead of you, don't rush things." He gives some fatherly advice like finding a girl and settling down, but all the while, you can see the teenage boy is rolling his eyes. He's like "Geez, Dad. I can't even explain anything to you. You never listen." Classic parent-child dynamic, am I right? But then, in the third verse, the situation gets even more emo. They're both just sitting there, and the Dad is all like "Son, it's not time to make a change." But the boy just can't take it anymore, and insists he has to leave. The Dad's still like "No, stay with me, but I'm old, so it doesn't really matter." And the boy's all like "I've cried so much and it's harder to ignore these feelings." And then, just when you think it can't get any more dramatic, there's a guitar solo. That's right, folks. A guitar solo. Because sometimes words just aren't enough.
