Song meaning of Cocoa Butter Kisses by Chance the Rapper (Ft. Twista & VIC MENSA)

Okay, so Chance the Rapper starts off this track with a relatable problem: his mom thinks he stinks because he's been smoking too many cigarettes. But, he's got bigger problems--burn holes in his hoodies and homies who think it's dank. Despite all this, what he really misses are his cocoa butter kisses. Is he talking about the kisses he used to get from his mom after she slathered him in cocoa butter? Or is this some metaphor for something else that he really misses? We may never know. But, then Vic Mensa comes in and takes us on a journey of drug-induced confusion and self-reflection. He's feeling like Lauryn Hill and Bill Bellamy, but also like Colin Powell and Norma Jean. Meanwhile, Twista comes in with a flow so fast you'd need a Higgs Boson to keep up with him.
