Song meaning of Without Me by Eminem

Oh boy, it's the original angsty white boy himself, Eminem. "Without Me" is like his personal manifesto on how everyone misses him and needs him back. He starts by complaining that no one wants "Marshall" (his real name) and they all want "Shady" (his alter ego). So, to give them what they want, he mixes weed and liquor to create some kind of superhuman cocktail that could jumpstart his heart faster than a hospital shock treatment. I mean, if that's what it takes to get people to pay attention to you, I guess? But then, he realizes he may have gone too far, even for himself, when he suggests people put semen on their lips. As if that's going to make anyone miss him more. And let's not forget his feud with Moby – seriously, who even remembers that anymore? But the best part has to be when Eminem declares himself to be the "worst thing since Elvis Presley". I don't know about you, but I don't think the King of Rock and Roll would appreciate being compared to a rapper who thinks telling people to put semen on their lips is the height of artistry.
