Well, well, well, looks like King Kendrick is feeling some type of way and is ready to spill his emotions on a track. He starts off talking about how tough it is to know which direction to take when faced with a dark and confusing road. Then he mentions all these hoes making it difficult for him. Well, that's one way to blame it on someone else, Kendrick! As the verse goes on, he talks about wanting to make things right with the Father and the Son and battling guilt, hurt and shame. It's a good thing he's got six magazines aimed at him, just in case someone tries to mess with him. Kendrick then goes on to talk about his complex soul, how he cares too much, wants to share too much but shuts down too often. He's broken down and his morality is dust. Ain't that a mood? This year, he's trusting himself and no one else, and he wants you to better yourself too. The chorus has Kendrick saying he loves it when people count him out. Man, if you make that kind of statement, you better make sure you can back it up! Then he talks about how trust is hard to win when lies run deep. That's like trying to win someone's heart with a fake Rolex. Good luck! The post-chorus has Kendrick repeating "fuck it up" four times. And you thought Dua Lipa invented that phrase? Ha! The second verse has Kendrick recalling a conversation with someone who made him feel like he had to work hard without lifting his head up. Kendrick, don't neglect your neck, man! He then talks about good energy in the room and asks for the location, maybe he's trying to crash a party or something. When he's frustrated, he needs antibiotics for the womb. Now, I'm not a doctor, but I don't think that's how it works. Kendrick then decides to keep his good conscience in rotation, you know, like spinning plates on a stick. He ends the verse saying he puts his ego above everything, even the Devil. Damn, Kendrick, take it easy, bro. The chorus repeats, and we hear Kendrick say he's got deep regrets, something he can't forget, he's tried his best, and he's blessed. But, anybody fighting through the stress? Knowing Kendrick, he'll probably come up with a song or two about that too!
