Song meaning of Empty Stomach Space Cadet by King Krule

Oh, boy! King Krule is back with another emo banger, "Empty Stomach Space Cadet." We begin with some seriously dark lyrics about death and not wanting to be searched for. I mean, I get it. Who wants to be found after they die? But then he goes to suggest that his own dead body should just be thrown in the trash? Talk about a lack of self-respect. Anyway, he goes on to talk about his companion who has been through thick and thin with him, and now without them, he disappears into thin air- or should I say- space? It's all a bit nebulous if you ask me. The pre-chorus at least has some sci-fi flavor with a waiting space cadet inside our brains. Do we need to get him out? Is he lost in the stomach like Space Mountain at Disneyland? And then we're hit with a chorus that sounds like Morse code practiced by a fallen race on Mars. All in all, it's a song that'll have you feeling like you're drifting aimlessly through the cosmos, questioning the meaning of the universe- which is honestly a pretty impressive feat for a two-minute track.
