Song meaning of Ohne dich by Rammstein

However, the forest seems to be mirroring his broken heart and standing "so black and empty" - a perfect representation of the lead singer's former love life. But wait, things get worse! The birds in the forest also stop singing, probably feeling uncomfortable in the presence of all that heartbreak. The singer goes on to sing about how he can't bear to live without the love of his life and that every second without her is wasted. And to top it off, he also struggles to breathe without her and basically has no life without her. Talk about being overly dramatic!
